Balls! Macrocosm's Amusing Kickstarter

Yesterday, I blogged about the fantastic Pantheon of Chaos and it's highly successful kickstarter project. As you know, I have always been an advocate of supporting projects that readers of this blog may appreciate and I have discovered another one worthy of your time and money.

Like with the Pantheon, this project has already funded so there is no need to worry that the target fund will not be met. But what to you get for your money?

The answer is simple: balls!

Have a look at the crowdfund page by following this link.

There are a number of amusing stretch goals to consider and by looking at what the project has achieved so far it looks increasingly likely that many of these will be reached. Here are a couple of shots of some of those WIP add ons.

These 'deflated/dead' balls are my favourite. Fancy a flutter on this KS? It's simple, fun and most importantly very much in the Oldhammer flavour.

  1. I've gotta ask how do you play these miniatures?? I haven't played GW's fantasy battle for over a decade and there was nothing like these available in the ranges back then. They look awesome

    1. There are no 'official' rules for these figures. They are just 'fun'. Of course, nothing is stopping anyone creating their own rules for models such as these.

    2. You can use the Chaos Familiar (for one model) or the Chaos Spawn rules (for lots of them). I think that's probably as "official" as is needed. :-)

  2. Fantastic. Reminds me a bit of what warmonger miniatures is doing these days.

    1. You are quite correct. Leering, horrible faces such as these (and Kev's) seem easy to achieve, but are far harder to get right than you would first imagine.

  3. After a meeting with Chris Nicholls of Macrocosm, I'm happy to announce that Precinct Omega will be developing a standalone game that you'll be able to play with these miniatures.

    Expect it to be silly.
