Steve Casey over at the Citadel Collector has just published an excellent article that chronicles how White Dwarf supported Realm of Chaos: Slaves to Darkness with a number of articles dealing with converting miniatures to represent different attributes. The first article is rather well known, and is often referred to on forums up and down the interweb, but Steve's scans are the clearest I've seen. It forms part of the 'launch issue' of Slaves to Darkness (which we shallbe discussing shortly in an upcoming Acceptable in the '80s) and is well worth a read if you have not seen it before.
Here are Steve's scans...
Steve also goes on to publish loads of other material published over the years, including conversions by Peter Taylor and Dale Hurst. If you haven't checked out his webpage before, I really do recommend a look. And, Steve promises more dips into his archive to bring us more inspiration from the Realm of Chaos in the future!

Orlygg.
That saved me the trouble of a blog post with scans from WD135! An awesome issue overall, as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's great and truly inspirational.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is really very interesting. I am an enthusiast of old CITADEL miniatures and old GAMES WORKSHOP products.
Bravo!
